Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance is a broad subject area that includes qualitative and quantitative analysis of drugs, excipients, impurities etc to meet the regulatory requirements.
Last few decades there have been magnificent and significant advances in analytical instrumentation with computerized data handling devices across the world. Recently pharmaceutical analysis plays vital role as necessary integral component even greater horizons than the actual prevalent critical analysis of not only the active pharmaceutical products but also secondary pharmaceutical products like tablets, capsules etc. The fundamental reasons for the legitimate surge in newer evolving methodologies in analysis of drug substances are perhaps due to tremendous growth in progress of pharmaceutical analysis towards achieving one ultimate aim i.e “Quality Drugs for a Healthy World”.
Pharmaceutical analysis laboratory is equipped various ultra modern and sophisticated instruments for analysis of the bulk drug and its various formulation as per official compoundia like IP, BP & USP etc.
The objective of the pharmaceutical analysis is to equip pharmacy graduates with the appropriate analytical skills required for the pharmaceutical manufacturing industries. It gives the student a good understanding of the principles of pharmaceutical analysis and render necessary supporting research methodology and demonstrate its application in the practical related problems.
