DNA Fingerprinting and molecular marker development.
Molecular markers development and assessment of genetic diversity using Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD), Inter Simple Sequence Repeat (ISSR) and amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP). DNA fingerprinting of wild legumes, medicinal plants like Typhonium, Turmeric and Zingiber using molecular marker. Finding SNP marker for cultivars of different geographic location, genetic diversity assessment using the SNP markers among wild collections of garlic from the centre of origin/diversity. Biochemical and molecular characterization of wild and cultivated taxa of Ipomoea. EST and singleton SSR characterization for cultivar identification in Ipomoea. Fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) in ginger. |
