Siksha 'O 'Anusandhan which was previously recognised as an educational society under Societies registration Act XXI of 1860 and now has acquired the status of University u/s of the UGC Act-1956 w.e.f. the academic session 2007-2008. It has its prime objectives to promote professional education, Research, Training & Development in Engineering, Management, Computer Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Medical Sciences (viz. MBBS, BDS & Nursing) and Hotel Management etc. to cater to the need of professional manpower of the country. It is one of the so called new born University in Eastern region as well as in the country which has started with professional courses in Under graduate, Post graduate & Research (PhD) level in various multi-disciplinary faculties as mentioned above.
